Cross Guns Avoncliff

The Cross Guns in Avoncliff, Bradford-on-Avon, is a stunning 16th century inn, nestled between the canal towpath and the River Avon. They undoubtedly have one of the best pub gardens we’ve ever visited and it’s a delight to visit in summer, where you can sit outside and enjoy the view in the tiered garden of the aqueduct sitting above the river.

They’re a traditional country pub with contemporary craft flavour. With original timber beams, open fires, beautiful gardens and a very warm welcome – the Cross Guns is a true destination pub.

We highly recommend you take a stroll through Barton Farm Country Park with your dog for a fabulous circular walk, in which the Cross Guns is in the middle, making it the perfect rest spot for food and drinks.
