The Alma Tavern
The Alma Tavern is a friendly, popular and cosy pub on Alma Vale Road in Clifton. Well loved by the locals, the pub often has live music, a leafy outdoor terrace and even their own 48 seated intimate theatre upstairs.
Their new kitchen serves up hearty Italian inspired food but has still retained its traditional pub classics such as steak and fish and chips. The pear, blue cheese pizza and a mushroom pizza is highly recommended.
They have a selection of beer on tap, such as of Arbour, Tribute, Bristol Beer Factory etc. The staff is super-friendly and they do love dogs, even featuring ‘Dog of the Week’ on their Instagram.
They also have a small theatre with a really exciting program this winter.
