The Dark Horse

The Dark Horse is one of Bristol’s most beloved dog-friendly pubs, right next to leafy St George’s Park — perfect for a post-walk pint or Sunday session with your four-legged mate. This rustic yet lively local welcomes pups of all kinds, and there’s even a stash of free dog snacks near the door to keep tails wagging as soon as you arrive.

Inside, the vibe is relaxed and sociable, with cosy sofas, a roaring fire in Winter, and sunny roof terrace in the Summer. The real highlight is the pub’s famous “Wall of Dogs”, a sparkling hall of fame plastered with polaroid portraits celebrating the canine regulars — so be sure to keep coming back if you want to see your pooch up there too!

Whether you’re popping in after a wander round the park, enjoying a pint on the terrace in summer, or settling down by the fire in winter, The Dark Horse is a proper Bristol dog-friendly gem where dogs are more friend than guest, with three dog-friendly Airbnb rooms upstairs to boot!
