The Hare & Hounds Hotel is listed among the Top 10 Dog Friendly Hotels in the UK by The Daily Mail. Luckily for us, they have a beautiful dog friendly pub as well, perfect after a walk at nearby Westonbirt Arboretum.

Just a few minutes drive away from the Arboretum, The Hare & Hounds Hotel is a magnificent country house, transformed into a stunning place to relax, eat, drink and sleep. Whatever the weather, there’s plenty of space to sit with your dog; in the front garden, large back garden or bar inside.

You can tell from the moment you walk to the entrance that The Hare & Hounds Hotel just love dogs, as one of the first things we spotted was a ‘Dog Wash’ area for doggy hotel guests! They even have a little dog walking map of the hotel and grounds for guests. Inside, they have dog biscuits on the bar, a dog menu and sell dog ice cream!

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming despite there being a big wedding on in the back of the hotel and garden (which might have been distracting). We sat in the sunny front garden, sneaking peeks at the wedding party, wondering if we would see the bride and groom. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Bella got lots of fuss from the waitress who clearly loved dogs. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
