The Old Market Assembly

The Old Market Assembly is a sustainable and ethical restaurant, bar, bakery, theatre and live music space rolled into one. It has become the beating pulse of West Street in Old Market, making it a must visit if in the area.

Even though The Old Market Assembly acts as a live music venue at the weekend, visiting in the day, it’s a sociable hub, with people from all different walks of life meeting up for coffee and croissants, lunch or a sociable drink, and dogs are most welcome to join in! The vibe is very relaxed and friendly, making it a place you will want to come back to again and again.

The unusual bar/restaurant used to be a Victorian bank, where many features have been kept, from the huge supporting pillars, to the wraparound gallery and vaulted ceiling. There is a large ground floor dining space with a small wood burner in the corner for colder days and a rooftop terrace to sun yourself when the weather is warmer.

The Old Market Assembly serves up a range of delicious seasonal food, with an emphasis on vegetarian and vegan dishes. Their bar stocks some of the finest local brewers, winemakers, cider producers and distillers in the region. The wine list is made up solely of natural, bio-dynamic and sustainable wines.
