The Pony Chew Valley

The Pony Chew Valley is an award winning country pub and restaurant in the stunning Somerset hills serving amazing food and drinks. Cosy, warm and inviting, it is well worth the visit, boasting a beautiful outdoor garden and a charmingly rustic but contemporary interior.

The best thing about The Pony Chew Valley is that it’s a perfect place to go during any weather or time of year. In the summer months, enjoy the garden area to the rear, or sit on the decking in front of an incredible view.

Even though dogs aren’t allowed inside the main restaurant, there is plenty of seating in the bar area and outside on the decking, where they make dogs feel most welcome.

It’s a perfect place to stop after exploring the surrounding countryside with your dog. Our particular favourite walk in this area is Chew Magna Circular and Chew Valley Lake.

The Pony Chew Valley restaurant has disabled access, but it will be worth phoning ahead before as the back door for the access to the main restaurant is a fire exit, and needs to be opened by staff. There is one step to access the section of the pub with the bathrooms.
