Thatchers Railway Inn

Thatchers Railway Inn is the perfect country pub and well worth a visit! Even though the pub is over 140 years old, it has been newly renovated and restored by the Thatchers family, whose famous Thatcher’s Cider Mill is adjacent to the pub. Opening in 2015, the pub a very popular spot for families, cider lovers and dog owners.

The interior of the pub is beautifully decorated and has retained it’s ‘pub-ness’ without losing any character despite it being modernised. The bar is stocked with Thatchers’ full range of ciders as well as spirits, beers, ales and lagers. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but why be there when you can be sitting next to the open fire near the bar in winter or enjoying the sun outside on a glorious day?

In the large outdoor area, there is a small enclosed children’s play park as well as grassy areas and you can practically see the Thatchers Mill while you enjoy a pint of their cider.
