The Shakespeare

The Shakespeare is a recently refurbished pub in Redland is a great place to go for lunch, a relaxed evening meal or a Sunday roast. The red brick Victorian pub retains much of its traditional character inside – with tiled and wooden flooring, pretty stained glass windows and comfy couches. The Shakespeare is very dog friendly and staff are always warm and welcoming. They have even just started hosting their own dog shows!

There is a patio area outside, complete with fake grass with a couple of tables that manage to catch the sun. In the winter, there are heating lamps to snuggle under and atmospheric fairy lights draped all around the garden.

The food is always good – we would definitely recommend the traditional Ham, Eggs and Chips as well as the Haddock Goujons Sandwich! The lunch time offer is very good – two meals for £10 and there are meal deals here a few nights a week such as Steak, Chips and a bottle of wine for 2 for £30. They have a large selection of wines, beers and ales including some more regional based alcohols.
