The White Hart in Cheddar

The White Hart is nestled at the bottom of Cheddar Gorge, in a quiet street just off of the main road through the Gorge, and is popular all year round.

The popularity of The White Hart isn’t just with tourists, but with friendly locals too, especially during summertime when the extensive beer garden and play area provides an excellent setting to enjoy a meal and drinks while exploring the village.

We popped into The White Hart after stopping at Cheddar Paws Bakery (a dog bakery just a few minutes walk away). We had heard a lot of good things about The White Hart and weren’t disappointed! They were a highly recommended pub for their dog friendliness and warm welcome. The menu was amazing, with the traditional meals on the main menu and a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The bar also has a good range of Real Ales, Draught Lager, Stout and Ciders along with a good selection of fine wines available by the glass or bottle.
