PYO Pumpkins in Bristol

Want to go pumpkin picking with your dog in Bristol or nearby? Well, we've scoured our nearby farms and found the best place to PYO pumpkins that are dog and family friendly. Dogs do need to be on a lead in the fields and well behaved, and we would advise booking ahead because the half-term holidays can get very busy!

Farrington’s Farm

The farm’s favourite time of year and this year they have grown around a whooping 100,000 pumpkins, which is more than ever before! Grab a wheelbarrow and explore the 12-acre Pumpkin Patch, toast marshmallows in a witch’s cauldron, enjoy a family tractor trailer ride and pick up a takeaway hot drink to warm you up. Tickets include entrance to the Pumpkin Patch, displays, entrance to the carving space and parking. Please note this does not include a pumpkin.

Avon Valley Country Park

Grab a wheelbarrow and roam through the massive pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Don’t want to get muddy? Choose a pumpkin from the event area, where they have a huge selection of gourd-geous gourds and super squashes for you to choose from. Pumpkins are priced depending on size. A complete family day out with entertainment, fair rides and competitions. Dressing up is encouraged for families and dogs!

Palette and Pasture

Always a dog friendly place to enjoy a family day out, Palette and Pasture have opened their pumpkin field, so you are welcome to grab a wheelbarrow to pick as many pumpkins as you like. A brilliant family day out with not only pumpkin picking, but PYO sweetcorn, farm animals, giant inflatables, diggers pit and ice creams made on the farm. Cash is advisable as their card machine does not always work in the field due to poor signal.

Puxton Park

Come pick your own pumpkin at Puxton Park’s Pumpkin Patch, with over 40,000 pumpkins for you to pick from! Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is free and there’s no need to pre-book. Just remember to bring your wellies!

Over Farm

With huge fields to explore, Over Farm is well known for regularly opening up their fields to families and dogs throughout the year to PYO fruits and veg. This October, grab a wheelbarrow, pose by the festival sign, spot the witch and pick up your perfect pumpkin, after, snacks and drinks are available at the farm shop.

Cotswold Farm Park

Throw on your wellies and come discover Cotswold Farm Park autumn trail to see what the mischievous scarecrows have been up to! After all of the exploring, pick a spooky face paint design and grab yourself a strikingly plump pumpkin to take home for crafts and pies. Don’t forget to complete your day with a warm autumnal drink and delicious treat from the Ox Shed Bar & Restaurant! Dogs are welcome to the Pumpkin Patch and on the Wildlife Walk, unfortunately, they are not allowed into the Farm Park.
