Bedminster Down Open Space

Bedminster Down Open Space is one of those places you might pass regularly without quite realising it’s there. Located just off Bridgwater Road (A38), a grassy slope leads up from the road to a surprisingly pleasant open field dotted with a few trees.

Beyond this first area, another gentle slope opens out into a larger, quieter green space that’s clearly well used by local dog walkers. This upper area forms a loose circular route and is tucked between Bedminster Down allotments, making it feel nicely hidden from the road despite its location.

The space is fairly unkempt and natural in feel, with patches of woodland around the edges, but it makes a perfectly good spot for a relaxed dog walk — particularly if you live nearby and are looking for somewhere quiet to stretch your dog’s legs.
