Lawrence Weston Moor

Lawrence Weston Moor is a nature reserve with fields made up of wet and dry wildflower meadows. This hidden gem is located behind the allotments at Lawrence Weston and next to the M5. Despite being able to hear the motorway, it’s a lovely diverse walk as the area used to be marshland.

To access the walk, park on Lawrence Weston Road where it meets Atwood Drive, the nature reserve is located behind the allotments. From here, there is a great circular path signposted that takes about 45 minutes to walk (approx 2km).

There is a pond at the nature reserve, but dogs are kindly asked not to swim in it as it has catastrophic effects for the pond wildlife, due to insecticide treatments used on dogs to deter ticks and fleas.
