Mina Road Park

Mina Road Park is a traditional Victorian park, with mature tree-lined avenues and grassy areas. The unusual features of this park are the late 19th century cast-iron urinal and the ornamental footbridge that crosses the stream.

Mina Road Park is a lovely surprise in a very urban area of the city, this park has a community feel and is used by families, dog walkers and people sunbathing or picnicking on warm days. We saw a few dogs playing in the Horfield Brook, clearing enjoying running in and out of the water. The brook meanders through one end of the park, away from the road, and there is room to throw a ball around for your dog or choose a bench to sit on and relax.

A children’s play park and basketball court sits within the park as well.
