Minehead Beach

Minehead Beach is a large, sandy beach that is overlooked by the picturesque rocky formation of North Hill. Dogs are not allowed on the main beach between the harbour and the golf course from the start of May until the end of September.

There are a few places to park, we parked in a large car park between Butlins and the beach on Warren Road (TA24 5SH). There are also little car parks near the harbour, on Quay Street (TA24 5UP).

There are lots of benches to sit on and have a picnic, or pop to one of the sweet little cafes or pubs on the beachfront. Minehead Beach has great facilities with numerous public toilets and a wide concrete walkway before you get to the beach that goes along the length of it.

We spent about 1 1/2 hours walking around the beach, but you could easily spend longer here if you wanted to walk along the coastal path to either North Hill or Dunster.
