Shirehampton Park

Shirehampton Park is part of the old Kings Weston Estate which encompassed much of the land in the area in the 18th century. It is now a small wildlife meadow, which can be easily assessed from Shirehampton Road car park before taking a stroll around Kings Weston House.

Shirehampton Park Golf Club is just over the road and is also a spot for walking the dog – it is National Trust owned, but most importantly, watch out for golfers and flying balls! You can walk a circular route around the golf course, almost to the A4 Portway (there are trees protecting the golf course from the A4, but there is one opening onto the A4 which you should take care around) then follow the yellow signs back up the golf course back to Shirehampton Road.

Paws for thought

Busy road between Shirehampton Park and Shirehampton Park Golf Club. In Shirehampton Park Golf Club, there is one entrance onto the very busy A4 Portway.
